Mrs. Ferguson's Speech Page

Welcome to my page. :)

A little about myself: I grew up in Milledgeville, GA with my mom, dad, and sister. My husband and I have been married for almost 8 years and have 2 dogs and 2 cats, who we love dearly! I love animals, football, exercise, couponing, Disney anything, and the holidays! I received my Master's in Education in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University in December 2013. Prior to graduating, I completed internships in a hospital as well as a public school. My public school experience helped me realize how much I loved and wanted to work with children. I worked for Richmond County School System for 2 years where I completed by Clinical Fellowship Experience and became licensed to practice as an SLP with my Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I began working for Columbia County Schools in August 2016, where I was placed at two great schools, North Columbia Elementary and Lewiston Elementary, and worked at both of those schools for 3 years. In 2019, I was placed at Harlem High School 1 day per week in addition to my time at NCE. For the 2021-2022 school year, I am blessed to be working my 6th school year at North Columbia Elementary with amazing teachers and staff, students, and parents! Speech therapy truly is so rewarding. Although I help teach students communication skills, I feel that they teach me something new as well. :)
