North Columbia Elementary Named National Blue Ribbon School

We are incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Tonya Gambrell, Principal of North Columbia Elementary. “Our staff puts their heart and soul into what they do every day. Together with our families and our community, we are able to create the best possible learning environment for our students. Our goal is to engage, enrich and inspire each student, every day.”

North Columbia Elementary was recognized as an Exemplary High-Performing School and is one of only 297 schools nationwide this year to receive the prestigious award, and the fifth school to do so in the Columbia County School District.

Harlem High School was named a Blue Ribbon School in 1989, Riverside Middle in 2002, Stallings Island Middle in 2014, and Stevens Creek Elementary in 2020.

“We are so proud of the staff, students, and parents of North Columbia Elementary, who work together to make this a great place for students to receive a quality education each day,” said Dr. Steve Flynt, Superintendent.
